Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic Medicine focuses on health promotion and disease prevention. Naturopathic doctors address the root cause of health concerns and work together with patients to achieve meaningful and sustainable health practices. Treatment aims to optimize various systems within the body including digestion, stress, sleep
and mood.

Patients will work closely with their doctor in order to develop strategies that promote sustainable and meaningful changes in their health and wellness. Treatments may include a combination of nutritional counselling, botanical medicine, lifestyle counselling, supplementation and physical medicine.

Botanical Medicine

Acupuncture

Supplementation

Supplements are often used to support the body and ensure it has the building blocks it needs in order to function optimally. Ideally, we would get our nutrients from our diet

Dr. Allison Moses was born and raised in rural Nova Scotia. She attended Acadia University where she completed a Bachelor in Kinesiology with an honors thesis in exercise physiology.

During this time Allison learned about the practice of Naturopathic Medicine and resonated with the principles of preventative medicine and health promotion. She went on to complete her Doctorate at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. There she developed the skills and knowledge to help patients navigate their personal health journeys through modalities such as nutritional counselling, herbal medicine, acupuncture, lifestylecounselling, physical medicine and supplementation.

Most of your work with Allison will be sorting out what health looks like for you and removing obstacles so that you can show up for your daily life in a meaningful way.

Allison loves spending time outdoors. On weekends you can find her exploring her new
backyard, hiking in the Rockies. She also loves to cook; her kitchen is a balance of nutritious homecooked meals, honing the craft of sourdough baking and finding the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Allison is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Edmonton, Alberta. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) as well as the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA).
